We started out in 2006 as an eco gift shop in North Staffordshire selling all the usual handicraft products from the developing world such as jewellery, bags, furniture, etc etc etc before we found that there are many ways shoppers can make a difference.

Shoppers need (and want!) to buy products which are not only helping struggling producers in developing countries, but also products which are eco friendly or sometimes locally produced to help the environment. Each shopper has different requirements but we always aim to provide products which as well as being ethical are also beautiful and high quality so they will be used but also so they last and discourage our modern day “throw away” culture. 

Since those early days we've gradually broadened our product range and work so so hard to find new wonderful suppliers who allow us to sell beautiful unique gifts that are genuinely appreciated by all - especially when you treat yourself!!

Of course we still have our original and ever-lovely shop, Orissa at the Trentham Estate but we are also on the web, facebook and twitter and we even offer info as a starting point for ethically inspired people to learn about fair trade, recycling and eco issues in order to try to live and shop with a clear conscience.

Check the tabs on the bottom left of every page for some information on - fair trade, eco living, recycling, the reasons behind buying organic, sustainability, climate change and even a whole host of practical energy saving tips and eco-driving tips.

Trust me we’re not eco-warriors or fair trade pioneers, just normal people living normal lives who believe that if we all do our bit it must help everyone on this planet.
